Cook It Mama Cafe is the creation of Sydney Blakely — owner, cooker, worker, and janitor, all in one. She opened this cozy Bridgeport spot to bring real, homemade soul food to the South Side.
Everything on the menu is made fresh with bold flavors and a free-spirited energy that makes every visit feel like eating at someone's kitchen — because in a lot of ways, it is.
From the signature jerk chicken to hearty subs and loaded nachos, Mama puts care into every plate. This isn't fast food — it's food that takes its time and shows it.
